01Plain-language summary
Using a HUF Ltd app means you're using an independent app made by HUF Ltd, not an app made by HP, OpenAI, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Anthropic or any other brand we mention. We only connect to those services in the ways they officially allow, so using our app does not break their terms or put your accounts with them at risk.
02Consent we ask for in the app
On first launch, and before any optional processing, our apps show a clear consent screen. You can choose separately whether to allow:

Saying no to optional consents never limits the core features of the app.
03Sample in-app consent text
This is the wording our apps show (some details vary by app):
"Welcome to [App Name] by HUF Ltd. This is an independent app. It is not made, endorsed or supported by [HP / OpenAI / Google / etc.]. Brand names are used only to describe compatibility. By continuing, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. [AI apps:] Your messages will be sent to [provider] through its official API to generate replies. We do not sell your data or use it to train AI. You can change your choices any time in Settings."
04Your third-party accounts are protected
We have designed our apps so that using them does not cause your accounts with other companies to be suspended or terminated:
- No credential collection. We never ask for your HP, OpenAI/ChatGPT, Google, Apple, Microsoft or other passwords. If a sign-in to a third party is ever needed, it uses that company's own official sign-in page (OAuth), and we never see your password.
- Official access only. AI features use the AI provider's commercial API with HUF Ltd's own API key. Your personal ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude account is not used, accessed or affected.
- Standard protocols. Printer features use open, industry-standard printing protocols supported by the manufacturer. We do not modify firmware, bypass cartridge protection or interfere with manufacturer subscriptions such as HP Instant Ink.
- No automation of your accounts. We never scrape, automate or act on your third-party accounts in ways their terms prohibit.
You are still responsible for following the terms of any third-party service you choose to use separately.
05Your HUF Ltd account
Giving or withdrawing consent will never by itself cause us to terminate your HUF Ltd account. Withdrawing a required consent may switch off the specific feature that depends on it. We may restrict an account only under the fair process described in our Terms, and you can always appeal.
06Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw any consent at any time in the app's Settings, through your device's privacy settings, or by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it.
07Records of consent
We keep a record of the consent choices you make (what you chose, when you chose it, and which version of the policy applied), so that we can demonstrate compliance and respect your choices.
