03Why we mention brand names
We use third-party names only to state compatibility or interoperability truthfully, for example "works with HP printers" or "uses OpenAI's GPT models via the official API". This is known as nominative or descriptive fair use. We use only as much of a name as we need to identify the product, and never in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement.
04What we will never do
- Use a third-party logo, trade dress or official artwork as our app icon, splash screen or store graphic.
- Name an app in a way that is confusingly similar to an official product (for example, "HP Smart Pro" or "ChatGPT Official").
- Describe our apps as "official", "authorised" or "certified" by a third party unless that is true and we hold it in writing.
- Show third-party screenshots or interfaces as if they were our own.
- Ask you to sign in with your credentials for a third-party account (HP, OpenAI, Google and so on) inside our app, except through that company's own official sign-in screen, where available and permitted.
- Use undocumented, reverse-engineered or unauthorised methods to access a third party's services.
05Official support for third-party products
For help with a product made by another company, such as printer hardware, warranty, ink subscriptions, a ChatGPT or OpenAI account, or a Google account, please contact that company directly through its official website. HUF Ltd cannot access, change or support your accounts with other companies.
06Rights holders: reporting a concern
If you own a trademark or copyright and believe one of our listings or apps uses it improperly, email [email protected] with the subject "Trademark / IP notice". Please include:
- your name, company and contact details;
- the mark or work concerned, and proof of ownership;
- the app, listing URL or page concerned;
- a description of the concern.
We acknowledge every notice within 2 business days. We will change or remove material promptly where a concern is valid. We also cooperate fully with Apple's and Google's dispute processes.
